Today we did a 45 min inquiry and we were doing it on the port of tauranga.
About 6200 logs get imported and 2000 logs are from NewZealand. If they are going over seas then it would be shipped but if the logs where going around the country then it would be trucked or it would go by train.
When the logs get exported to the different countries they get treated and then they manipulate the logs to what ever they want or they sell it on to someone else.
The cycle of the log is it grows from a sapling then it grows into a full tree then they cut it down and plant another sapling and transport the log to a port where they treat it and maybe export it.
